Agilent said its semiconductor test orders and revenues more than doubled in the second fiscal quarter, ended April 30. Overall, Agilent's test and measurement revenues increased 44% to $1.39 billion in the fiscal quarter vs. $964 million last year. Earnings from the test and measurement operation were $193 million compared to $86 million last year.

The company's semiconductor revenues were up 21.8% to $497 million in the just-ended quarter compared to $407 million last year. Earnings for the semiconductor products operation were $58 million, up slightly from $56 million, Agilent said.
